Stop Using Slot Machines In Your Business

The one armed bandit! The slot machine. Why are they so popular in
casinos across the planet? The flashing lights, the promises of
instant millions, the whole 'what if it's my time to win'
factor...I think it's all of these things plus one more, it's low
cost!

I call it 'Slot Machine Marketing' and it is without a shadow of a
doubt, the number one reason people fail online.

Here's my analogy, the slot machine is your latest
and greatest program. You know the one that sells for about 20
bucks a month, promises a forced matrix down line, has some 'big
name' stamp of approval and hey, all your buddies are joining too.

That is the slot machine, this is what you do next. You pay the fee
(for sake of argument it's $20) or you pull the handle. Your eyes
light up because it looks like you are about to win. You have two
cherries show up and that last one is coming to a stop. Oh you just
missed it, two cherries and a gold bar. Maybe you won a few
credits, maybe you made a sale. But where is that promised gold?
Where is the yacht I was told I would get if I paid my 20 bucks and
spun the wheel a few times?

After about a month or so of this, you feel tired. It was not what
was promised to you but oh well, it was only 20 bucks. Who cares,
I'll count it as a loss and wow, look at that. A new slot machine
to play with...Let's take this one for a spin.

And thus creates the vicious cycle that some 'program' owners prey
upon. They know you will keep trying to spin the wheel and fork out
20 bucks, so they start a new slot machine (program) when things
start to sour.

Focus! Focus! Focus!

You are building a business, it will not happen overnight. You need
to stop joining every single program that promises a random payment
or instant downline in your forced matrix. These are not solid
businesses and the chances they will be online in a year are slim
to none.

Find a business you BELIEVE in, find an owner that cares about the
success of his / her affiliates as much as his / her own pocket
book
.

Hey, if you have the resources, start your own business but
what is so important is that you don't jump ship at the first signs
of bad water!

Building a business takes time and so people
fall victim to jumping ship and trying their luck at another
program. Hoping this time all the cherries will show up in their
slot machine!

Don't give up on the programs you really believe in, remember what
we talked about in the lesson before. It takes a good chunk of time
to brand your name and build your businesses online. A good rule of
thumb is that if you are looking to invest in a program, give it at
least 4 to 6 months before you start to see a return. You need this
time to grow your network, get your splash pages created, and really
get a feel for what you're promoting. Research the owner, get feedback
from other members.

But always do your homework before you plan to invest your money
and very valuable time in someone's business.

You will save so much money in the long run by planning out your
approach and not jumping from slot machine to slot machine. Focus
your energy on one or two programs and really start to see results!
